Happy Birthday to You and Me!

Adam and I celebrated our birthdays recently. For some fun on our day, our good friend, James, took us out for lunch at a nearby Mexican restaurant. We had to reassure our server that we really did have the same birthday. She brought us two sombreros and one fried ice cream with one candle to share. Later in the week, I whipped together a chocolate cheesecake of sorts. I totally mixed ingredients up on the recipe, but anything tastes good if it has enough sugar and whipping cream, right?

So, what are we getting this year? If all goes well, a new house. (As our hopeful soon-to-be new neighbor said, "Cross your fingers and your toes!")

  1. It would have been fun if Marta was with you at the restaurant, then you really would have had some convincing to do as far as birthdays :) Can't wait for more updates on the house!

  3. Sorry, it was me who deleted that post above b/c of a typo. Anyway, Happy Non-Birthday! Ha ha - you never do get to have your own birthday, do you, Kari? Adam enjoyed having his own for a while before he met you. But you, you always had to share.

Ha ha. Just kidding! Birthdays are more fun when you get to share them, just like cheesecakes and whipping cream. =)

    Love you all!

  4. And I second Lynne's comment. It would have been quite amusing if all 3 of were there. :)

  5. Cute hair Kari. Did you get it highlighted? It makes me want to do something with mine.

  6. Mary--I have been getting it highlighted every 4 months or so (stretching it out as long as possible!) I waited until after Tessa was born. Nice thing to do post-pregnancy!
