Jauregui's Visit

Ivan and Marta came to Yakima Tuesday evening for a job interview.  James, Tess and I meet up with them early that morning to bring Marta and Alec back to our house to visit for the day.

They enjoyed seeing the country setting of our new home and town.  Marta and I visited, watched our kids busily making dirt soup, spraying the hose and playing in the sprinkler, riding tricycles around the patio, and helping me whip together a brownie mix.

Alec enjoyed trying to pull Robbie down for a wrestling match but Robbie wasn't so sure about wrestling with his little cousin. Maybe Robbie won't be so cautious when Alec is a little bigger.

(Tess is a little mama. She has asked me if she can babysit James while I run to the store or to the kids' schools.)

It was warm enough outside to put the kids in swimsuits for some sprinkler time. By the afternoon, we turned on a Thomas the Train show for some quiet time, and Grandma Carol stopped by to visit a little before Ivan returned from his interviews. He had good things to say, and we are all praying and optimistic it will turn into a job offer.   We would love for them to be living in Yakima.

  1. Kari, these photos are just precious! Tessa is such a fun big cousin and big sister!

I was looking at the picture of you with Michael and holding James just before Michael's baptism, and I noticed that James is totally sporting the Bob Wiley haircut as so many Anderson toddlers before him (well, at least Tessa)! ;) xoxo

  2. Marta, I know just what you mean by "Bob Wiley haircut". Robbie also sported that look for a while--he may have been the first in our family. ;) Thanks for visiting. We love you!
