Summer 2011: June Camping Trip

I set a goal to camp with our family each month this summer. In June, we went "cabining", a little more comfortable for me and our one-year-old daughter. We went to Camp Zarahemla, or Camp "Z", for the second year in a row.

While we were cabining we . . .
went canoeing and spotted teenage geese,
made friends with all the neighbors,
star gazed by the fire sans kiddos,
bought ice cream at the Hallelujah fruit and produce store,
tasted cock n bull ginger beer (think root beer please),
collected all the branches that looked like little guns,
cooked dinner in the dutch oven,
roasted marshmallows,
and did all those things that made cabining just like camping.

Michael told me the best part of Camp Z was "all of it!"

  3. Beautiful place to camp! Collecting sticks that look like guns is some of our favorite past times too :)
