Are quite unusual around here, but it is 9 AM, and I just heard the first peep from my sleeping angels. (They are usually up by 7:30. Whenever they sleep later, I begin to wonder if they are still alive!)
I've had time to bake a dozen muffins, bake and prepare Christmas plates with "peanut butter blossom" cookies, and do some reading.
If only every morning were this way!!!
That's a phenomenal morning. And YOU'RE a phenomenal person for having the motivation to get all that done in the early morning! That's like John lately. Sometimes he has the dishes done and a hot breakfast made before I even stir - around 8. I'm stocking up on sleep now before the baby is born and I forget what sleep felt like. :)
ReplyDeleteSo what are the peanut butter blossom cookies?
PS - You guys have impeccable taste. We listen to that Allison Kraus CD almost every day, and we're still snacking on those incredible chocolate covered hazelnuts. I pop one or two in every time I pass the counter, and there's still half the box left! It's nice to have a taste of Oregon again. :)
ReplyDeleteI am so glad to hear that you both are enjoying the CD! My sister shared the CD with me, and I just fell in love with the songs. "Country Boy" was an instant favorite, as well as Ron Block's song about Moses.
ReplyDeletePB blossoms are those peanut butter cookies that have the Hershey kiss stuck in the middle. Know what I'm talking about?
Hot breakfasts, and no dirty dishes waiting in the sink--now that's a wonderful thing to wake up to!
Speaking of sleep, I too have started stocking up. I should be sleeping right now. Guess I better sign off and get to bed!
