We enjoyed an unusually warm January day visiting the beach of a nearby coastal town. We ate some sandy sandwiches, found some gigantic "beached" jelly fish, and climbed the steep sand dunes.
Robbie explored the ground, and Mikey was afraid of the waves that were "coming to get us!" He played more in the parking lot mud puddle than he did at the beach.
We left early because Emily had a tummy ache. She didn't even touch her ice cream sunday that we bought on our way home. And Mikey was so exhausted, one minute he was in the car seat eating his ice cream cone, the next minute he was asleep with the ice cream cone in his lap.
That looks so fun! We miss the beach so much (we miss you guys too) :)
ReplyDeleteWow - waita rub in the nice weather up there while we're here covered in feet of snow! That looks so fun. I love how you seize the day and go for an adventure. :) The video is so cute. This is an incredible world to explore and experience. Makes me want to bring Luke to the beach. :) That was so fun going with you! Our kids all fell asleep on the way home too that day. That's a sure sign of a very exciting and wonderful outing. They had so much fun all they can do now is fall asleep. You all are so awesome. :) Thanks for sharing your fun day!
ReplyDeleteYeah! I was hoping you'd added some more photos. Thanks for the video too. So cute!
ReplyDeleteAlright, alright- we'll move to Oregon!
ReplyDeleteActually we had a day like that (for us) in Idaho- it was almost 40 degrees! I was running frantically all over the house to finish all the stuff I had to do and then hurry and get the boys bundled up before the sun went down. That always takes so much longer than you think! Liam ended up only wearing 3 layers, so that was really fun for him to do.
I bet you and Adam love going there. We miss you all.
The beach in January? Oh, how jealous I am :)
