The makeshift birthday #1

Monday, March 15th, we celebrated the start of Roberto's third year, and the beginning of a busy week for me (I was in charge of coordinating 2 boys' birthday days and the Relief Society birthday dinner). For the boys, we whipped up one chocolate cake and stretched the batter out over the two birthdays for 2 makeshift cake creations, and 2 makeshift birthday celebrations.

Riding the Greenway

A friend of mine asked me to share how things are going in Yakima. I'll share some photos from the Greenway where the kids and I took a bike ride, stroller ride, and walk. The Greenway is a path that follows the Yakima River and leads to an arboretum. Last fall, we visited this walkway, and Adam made the kids huge leaf piles for jumping. I took the kids again on a warmer mid-winter day and found some leaves still on the ground, spotted a bald eagle in a tree, and creatively carried tired legs in the "one-man" stroller.
